Litigation Committee: Property Litigation Update
Suzanne Robertson KC, David Liu and Mat Martin will discuss recent property litigation issues at Lane Neave in Auckland on Thursday 20 June 2024 at 5:30pm.
Suzanne will speak on removal/modification of covenants under the PLA. David will examine the useful dispute resolution mechanism within the standard ADLS agreement. Mat will update you on recent trends in mortgagee sale disputes and related matters. The discussion will be chaired by Helen Chung, a senior associate at Lane Neave.
As usual, these NZ Asian Lawyers Litigation Committee talks will be followed by the chance to ask questions of our speakers, to catch up with colleagues, and to meet other Asian practitioners, over drinks and nibbles.

As a brief introduction of our speakers:
- Suzanne Robertson KC was appointed silk in 2017. She has appeared as lead counsel at all levels of the New Zealand courts, and advises on a wide range of civil disputes, from contract and property, to trust law, relationship property and estates.
- David Liu is a director and the litigation partner at Heritage Law in Auckland. His focus is in civil and commercial litigation, often with a need to use his insights in both the Kiwi and Chinese ways of thinking.
- Mat Martin is a specialist civil and commercial litigator and senior associate at Lane Neave. He acts primarily in disputes involving insolvency, finance, construction, contract, shareholder, and property-related matters
