Meerah graduated with her LLB (Hons) / BCom in 2020 and current primarily works in the civil litigation and public law field primarily dealing with Marine and Coastal Area (Takutai Moana) Act applications. She also works in the criminal and Waitangi Tribunal sphere.

Meerah is a second-generation immigrant from Sri Lanka and studied at the University of Auckland Law School. Prior to joining Tamaki Legal where she is currently an intermediate solicitor, Meerah worked at the Auckland Community Law Centre helping those with immigration issues. Meerah is fluent in Tamil with her first language being English.
