Claudia Shan is the founder of Avancier Legal, a boutique law firm specialising in private wealth, trusts, succession planning, immigration, tax, and cross-border legal matters. She advises individuals, entrepreneurs, business families, family offices, and trustees on domestic and international structures, asset protection, governance, and regulatory compliance.
Claudia has practised in New Zealand, England and the Channel Islands, and brings extensive experience advising clients on multi-jurisdictional private client and family business matters. Recognised for her expertise in international tax and private wealth planning, she was invited to join the International Tax Specialist Group (ITSG) as its sole New Zealand adviser. She is Deputy Convenor of The Law Association’s AML/CFT Committee, a member of the STEP Business Families Global Steering Committee, an Accredited Advisor with the Family Business Association, and serves on the Board of NZ Asian Lawyers.
