The AIA New Zealand Legal Team is highly regarded by the business as a key partner to their success. The team is made up of legal counsel, regulatory lawyers, a remediation team, and AIA’s ESG/sustainability and company secretarial functions. It provides legal services ranging from advice on claims and privacy, to litigation and commercial contracts. The team has also been recognised externally – most notably winning “NZ In-House Team of the Year” at the 2023 Australasian Law Awards, “Excellence in Sustainability Practices” at the 2023 Financial Services Council New Zealand Awards, and “Financial Services In-House Team of the Year” at the NZ Law Awards.
