The Otago Asian Law Students’ Association, established in 2019, is a student-elected body that promotes the interests of Asian-identifying law students. It aims to be a safe space for Asian law students at Otago University, particularly as there are a lot of first-generation Asian students entering law school and looking for support from their peers.
OALSA hosts regular academic workshops, social events, and a mentoring programme for first- and second-year students to connect with senior Asian students.
